New Leader in Engineering and Technology DevelopmentSalmon Arm, BC, Canada - November 2005 Dale will be primarily responsible for next generation technology application and product development for Engineered and Solid Wood Products. He will also be charged with continuous improvement of the engineering processes, as they relate to providing engineered products that perform to customer needs and requirements. "I'm excited about the advanced technologies that are being applied in the wood products industries and I'm looking forward to learning about the challenges that face this industry. I want to continue the rich tradition of providing innovations to help our customers meet their needs with technology solutions. I'm also looking forward to working with the Engineering and Development teams to streamline our processes and capitalize on efficiencies that can be gained to help us achieve our strategic goals." Dale brings a strong engineering focus to our group of companies, having held several key management roles in Engineering, most recently as VP, Product Development for Intier Automotive, a Magna Company. He has also held key engineering leadership positions throughout his career with TRW Automotive and ITT Aerospace/Communications companies. He is the author of numerous technical papers and books on Engineering and Risk Management and has been awarded several patents. He holds a PhD. in Software Engineering from Union Institute and University in Cincinnati, Ohio, an MBA from the University of Phoenix and a BS in Computer Science from Central Michigan University. Dale and his family plan to relocate from Detroit, Michigan to the Portland, Oregon area. His home office will be in the Tigard, Oregon facility, with a great deal of his time initially being spent in the Salmon Arm, BC and Painesville, Ohio facilities becoming acquainted with the Coe team and diverse product offerings.
