Super Press Speed-up

Cycle time reduction and board quality have always been two areas of continuous improvement for most panel and composite board mills. The press can affect both of these aspects of board manufacturing and is typically one of the most critical and expensive pieces of equipment in the plant. Consequently, replacing the whole press or major portions of the equipment may not be justifiable. There are also threshold limitations to existing equipment and/or components that require careful consideration, even for the most minor modifications.

Coe Manufacturing has embarked on a development program and is proud to offer both incremental and major additions to the press equipment that will reduce cycle times and improve board quality (precure and physical properties). This is being done through press speed-up packages that increase closing and opening speeds by up to 150%. Speeding up the press is a process of removing valuable seconds from the press cycle, increasing production, while at the same time improving board quality.

The Speed-up packages offered by Coe Manufacturing range from the addition of pumps to our NEW, "Patent Pending", Super Press Speed-up Package. Both increase press speeds and reduce overall cycle time of the press. Both packages also encompass using the existing equipment to the fullest extent, thus minimizing the capital expense, installation expense, spares stock and training required to maintain familiarity of the equipment. We have also designed our packages to be installed with minimal downtime, ensuring that your return on investment is realized much faster.
