Weyerhaeuser chooses "The Coe Team" for New Planermill at Longview, Washington

Coe Newnes/McGehee and Coe Manufacturing have combined their expertise to supply Weyerhaeuser's new planermill line at Longview, WA with an all-Coe suite of equipment featuring the latest technology in the industry. This Signature Planermill project is one of the first collaborative efforts for these two leading industry suppliers.

This is the largest combined project Newnes/McGehee and Coe Manufacturing have undertaken since the two companies came together under common ownership in August of 2002. The project includes a Coe Coastal 10-roll high speed Planer and Coe D*Tec 5000 (transverse) Planermill Optimizer. Newnes/McGehee supply features a Continuous Tilt Hoist, Revolver Lug Loader, Grade Stations with Rotary Board Turners, High Speed Low Profile Trimmer, Pusher Lug Sorter and High Speed Stacker. All systems feature A-B ControlLogix modular controls, also supplied by Newnes/McGehee.

This project marks the seventh Coe D*Tec Planermill Optimizer purchased by Weyerhaeuser in the PNW, and third Coe Coastal Planer. This is one of over 30 planermill projects Newnes/McGehee has undertaken for Weyerhaeuser, and one of eight complete planermill projects sold by Newnes/McGehee in the past 12 months.

The Project Team is responsible for design and management of the entire project. Team members comprise technical and project management personnel from the mill, Coe Newnes/McGehee and Coe Manufacturing.
